I seem to keep posting a lot on here recently... my 318i cab’s drive shaft seems to be making sounds and vibrations when pressing on the accelerator. However, the noises stop as soon as I let off the accelerator.

Can anyone help?

Check the condition of the rubber bits - the mount surrounding the centre bearing and the giubo (flexible coupling) at the front. There's also the locating bush that keeps the front of the prop. centred inside the guibo, although this only normally fails if the car has been run with a damaged coupling for some time.
If your guibo still has the vibration damper fitted around it, check that it isn't touching the gear linkage under acceleration.

Thank you Brian! I’ll have a look underneath asap, so many issues with car at the moment. The road tax expires tomorrow so I reckon I’ll SORN the car for the next month and sort out as much as possible.

I’ve also been hearing rough thumping sounds from the rear of the car while driving at lower speeds, would that have also been from bad drive/prop shaft components?

If the giubo is damaged it will put the whole prop out of balance. If it is out of balance or if the centre bearing mount has failed it will bang about inside the outer ring, making a knocking sound. As the prop rotates faster, the rotational inertia tends to make it more likely to run straight and not knock.
There are, of course, several other possible reasons for a knocking sound from under the car.

And if all the above is happening it will stress the two UJ's and cause them to fail making matters worse.
