I've got most of this hooked up now but dam its tight down the back of there 8O

I bought silicone heater hose but it's not pliable enough to make the bends necessary to route from the heater core ports on the bulkhead to the outlets on the back of the engine ...

Anyone out there have any tips or what pipes did you use to make this work please?
Scratching my head here

Thanks

The angled pipe can be rotated 180 degrees by removing a small indexing bit on the flange where it joins the matrix. No idea if it helps with your problem, but I found it does with a M5x conversion.
15mm 'Yorkshire' plumbing fittings are a good fit on 16mm heater hose, and the annular pressings on them work well with hose clips.

I didnt know that mate.
Well one of the ports on the accumulator on the back of the engine comes out at a 45 degree angle so it faces the passenger seat area. Both ports are 25mm compared to the e30 matrix ports at 15mm

So I purchased 22mm and 16mm hose with plastic reducer joiners 25 to 16mm

But this bloody hose just kinks so dam easy. I'm thinking of trying standard BMW hoses from different models to see if I can make anything work

Just fitted a new heater hose from back of engine (above starter) to matrix on bulkhead, special bent and angled , duel sized hose, total pig to fit, I had to remove the pipe above, the wiring connector and hold everything away to fit it.
Everyone has the right to reach the level of their own incompetence.

To update this thread, today i recieved the s62 heater hose and it fits like a glove.!

The hose has on the engine side a plastic housing which is not needed on the m60 or m62 engine as the hose goes to a 24.5mm port on the accumulator, the plastic housing is held on by a metal band. Just remove the housing and offer it up it fits nice

Might be helpful for others
