This is probably a stupid question but i just wanna make sure as last time i touched anything electric with tools i electrocuted my koi fish, but basically the needle has dropped, it moves when you start the car up but it wont read, probably something stupid i missed but I'm paranoid when it comes to anything electric.

PS: Did i spell gauge wrong?

Never seen anything like that. Either there is some kind of mechanical failure with the gauge or the needle is loose on the shaft.
See if the needle will pull off and reseat it, or get a fresh temp gauge. Single nut on the back of the cluster holds it in.

never seen a guage go that far back if you earth the sender wire on the engine the guage should go into the red that tells you the sender is at fault if not probably the guage itself.you might wanna turn your clocks around because you wont see a thing when driving like that (if you run someone over at least they can see what speed you were doing)
