Bought myself a sports interior for my touring
The seats are in fairly good condition but have a few storage dents which i can get out with a heat gun/hairdryer?

my biggest one is i want to change the colour from silver to pearlbeige and also fill cracks and fix a tear , i looked at furniture clinic set and not sure what size kit to go for?
Will it also work on the vinyl door card and seat back?

Is the furniture clinic option the best one for me or is there a better alternative?
I would love to see your leather restorations or any advice is welcome

Andy, that looks like a really useful website. I used to work in the interior trim industry about 25 years ago and things have changed quite a bit with new technological advances making new products available to repair and treat leather. I saw a few attempts of colour changing back then and they never really stood the test of time as any scuffs or scratches would show the colour underneath and that would be a catalyst for deterioration. Things may of moved on since then though but I would be a bit wary about changing the colour though TBH. Crack filling wasn't really done back then, but replacement leather panels were inserted instead. The company I worked for was Newton Commercial Ltd in Suffolk UK. They don't have BMW on their lists at the moment but if enough enquiries are made they would eventually I guess start looking into the marque and maybe even one day reproducing BMW trim under license. They used to take on seat repairs but not sure if they still do. you may be better off taking the sea to your local coach trimmers.

Hey Ricardo
That maybe an option or maybe find replacement oem second hand repair sections but the main thing is to keep costs down as i have a lot more to buy for the car yet so need to keep funds back for that unfortunately
I live in Norfolk so not too far for me with Newton Commercial so possibly worth popping down just for a chat and take a seat to see what they say maybe

Definitely worth a visit. Looking at their web page will give you an idea of what they are capable of.

Hi

I used Furniture Clinic's repair service for a seeat base and bolster on an E46 with individual nappa in what was a very light champagne. The initial repair and colour match looked very good but wore away after a couple of months. I'll try to find the before and afters I took, I gues it depends on the level of wear to start with - mine had significant peeling of the top layer of hide as I'm pretty sure it wasn't full grain or anything.

Thanks
