From pictures I have seen there is hardly any sound deadening from the factory.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried adding more sound deadening to an E30.

Did it make any significant improvement?

I've not used any sound deadening in my e30, but I did use Dynamat in my 1973 vw camper. Stop a lot of tin vibration, and made it sound a bit more solid, so to speak.

I can believe it would make a difference on a VW Camper due to the large flat panels. Might do this to my little 3 wheeled pick up on the inside of the doors.

I was hoping someone might have had some experience adding some to an E30.

Wondering whether the engineers at the time already did a good job placing sound-deadening or whether there is room for improvement with modern materials etc.
