Banded steel wheels

Hi, i want to get some banded steels for my '87 coupe, which i use for sprints and hill climbs. I'm thinking 16" and around 7 or 8j in width, but don't know what offset i need or will fit. Is anyone else running banded wheels and if so what size? thanks, James.
