I bought it about 18 months ago as a rotten 320i auto.

i spent many evenings cutting out the rust to the cills and floor replacing with good metal. The top half was in really good condition as it had so much paint on it it must have stopped it from rusting. I bought a model e30 m3 and loved the look of it so decided to create a full size one and that is how i came about the colours. It has a m42 stroker engine and quaife 6 speed dog gearbox with 4 plate lsd and 4.4 cwp. I fitted a z4 steering rack and electric power steering column which works really well. it has an electric water pump and 4 pot wildwood callipers front and rear with a non servo floor mounted pedal box. it has been a lot of work but i love the look of the car and it is great fun to drive.
i made a youtube slide show running through the work that was carried out
i also made more detailed videos of the work if it is of any interest

Amazing work! Not sure what the previous owner was thinking with that colour scheme?
Really like what you've done to it :thumb:

Thanks, I had a shakedown and came across a few problems the worst being fuel surge with anything less than half a tank of fuel. I have got it on axle stands now going through everything to check it is still tight and i had to make new engine mounts to move the engine off centre as the exhaust was too close to the steering column. I was very pleased with how it went and looking forward to my next event
