Hi Guys,
Not had my 318i for that long but on close inspection found a connector not connected and a tube that is blanked off. I've looked at just about every engine bay pic online but can't see in detail if this is normal for a 318i or if they should be connected.
One runs / dangles under the air flow pipe and the other comes out from carburettor / intake manifold area.
My guess is that they are for other variants / options on this model? Can any one shed any light on this? See attached pictures.

They are all for a closed circuit fuel tank arrangement - part of the emissions equipment that includes a cat. and lambda sensor. The pipe that comes from the inlet manifold MUST be blocked off, but with a bolt wasn't OE! There is another pipe that follows the line of the fuel pipes from the back of the car into the engine bay. The end of this pipe MUST be left open.
