Hi guys,
I just joined the group and been doing the restoration towards my e30. it was originally a 316 m40 and im putting in a m52b25 with a shiftronic gearbox from e39.
the concern now is, all of the engine things inside the bay has been changed accordingly, but the longshaft, rear differential remain the 316 setting. my current rev is at 110km/h at 3500 rev and 150km/h at 5000/5500 rev.
mechanic asked me to install the 3.45 large case (im not sure if he meant medium case as what can i found in the zone here, its medium case and no 3.45 ratio).
if i need to change the rear differential, what is the right ratio according to my current setup m52b25 + shiftronic gearbox as the above?
do i need to change the rear differential + long shaft and few other things to make it work well or if you have A MAGICAL ADVISES so that i can avoid wrong things. cheers!
New fella here. Advise on my new engine m52b25 with shiftronic gearbox from e39.
