Hi,
I'm following this guide to wire in E36 2 speed aircon fan but I need clarification on a couple of points where my car appears to deviate from the guide:
https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.p ... ectric_Fan
1) Fuse 19 is already in use, two black/green wires going to it. These appears to be for my electric mirrors, should I splice into one of these wires for my temp sensor input wire?
2) Neither K1 or K6 fuse box sockets appear to have wiring present to pin 30 (power)...where is best place to take power from to supply both? I was expecting this to be present already, my bad.
3) Also in K1, pin 86 appears to have wiring present already, I was expecting it to be blank like in K6...do I need to splice into this one also ? (for temp sensor T1 low speed wire)

Update:
I since read this: https://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/s ... d-K1-Relay
Which basically says the diagram I am following is slightly wrong for the K1 pin assignment. I think actually pin 86 is ground and pin 85 is switched power. Can someone confirm that? It would answer my point 3 above.

Sorted.
Found the little connector box that black green wire goes to, cut it away from box and used that for temp sensor feed.
Got confused re pin 30 in K1 and K6, both do indeed have power already.
Diagram is wrong for K1 (pins 85 and 86 are switched) and now everything makes sense

Published diagram is wrong, as you say. On the copy in my big folder of all things E30 I have the original 85 and 86 crossed out and the correct ones written in in pen, but, on a simple relay like this, 85 and 86 are interchangeable, as are 30 and 87.

Thanks for confirming Brian.
