Hi. I'm trying to remove the C40X connection from the L/H A pillar. The door mirror doesn't adjust. I've checked out the mirror motor which is fine so is the switch. Squeezing the connection sees the mirror working. Problem is the plug just won't budge and is breaking up as I try to move it. And I am pressing in the tags. Anyone had a similar problem? Cheers...

There should be a plastic locking piece stopping the tabs from being squeezed fully in. This piece is right in the middle of the plug, fully visible once the rubber boot has been removed, and just pulls out.
If you're sure that this piece is out, remove the plug and socket together, as far as the loom allows (remove speaker in footwell if necessary), then I think you can get a small screwdriver in between the front of the plug and the socket from the side, and lever them apart.

Thanks Brian. The centre locking piece was removed and the plug is still stuck fast. So too is the section in the A pillar. Looking at it, what I thought was some type of hardened clear coating cum varnish is chipping off like super glue! Some sort of bodge in the past. I think it will take some patience to sort this.

I'm in a similar boat but will wait until it's warmer to sort it. You can buy male and female of the plug for not much money at the dealer then you can see what you are dealing with. Connector pins also available if you need to replace them.
