Purple tag and track rods

What are you guys using?

I have a purple tag with e46 inners - what outers should i be using?

I've been told e30?

Can't use e30 outers with e46 inners. But e36 will work fine.

You will need E36 outers. E30 outers will not fit as threads are the other way around. E46 outers are too wide according to the wiki.

Just don't forget the locking collars for the e36 outers. It's an MOT fail. Ask me how I know lol item 10 in this picture

The bolts came with my E46 inners, I can't help with the collars as I took the outers off an e36 rack.

Mine never came with the collars just the lock nuts. I bought them from the dealer for about £5

I might just go to a breakers to see if I can just get them off of some knackered track rod ends.
