Hi,

Recently joined and re-living when I used to service these

and already worked out the Central Locking issue with the dodgy relay solder fix - previously posted - thanks..

Also tackled the timing belt replacement which was a real area of concern, as this whole setup sounded like a helicopter. (Last changed 1999) So new belt, tensioners, aux belts now fitted. All good now.

On the To Do list
Rear Break Cylinders and Shoes - Leaking Fluid
Wipers - do not self-Park - possible relay issue
Blown Middle Box - new exhaust system really required - any ideas where a can get a sport box setup (E30 316) to make look like stock ?

Rust discovered over the weekend on the Rear boot back panel around rubber seal .. this is going to take some effort and the most difficult job

oh and then Drive the Thing

More likely to be hardened grease in the wiper motor gearbox preventing the 'park' wiper from making contact. Clean out, and re grease.
