The new turbo style M2, M3, M4. Use the N55/S55 engine, same as the m54b30 stroke and bore and rod bolts that run on a turbo, so them M9x47 bolts must hold up ok if they use them still..
ARP not needed ??
Asked my machine shop about the ARP way and said only if you go for turbo use them. Told him about the standard OEM bolts are used on a modern M/// turbos and said them bolts and rods must be a good setup. His only seen the s50, s54 and s62 rod bolts go. They use the M11 blots I am sure..

rpm hurts rod bolts more than boost and it is rpm^2 factor. standard are fine on pretty much any NA m50-M54 unless you are doing a high rpm motor for the extended track use

The new Turbos have a rpm of 7k so them bolts must be ok or BMW wouldnt use them again on a new spec M blocks
