Hi,
Can I use the sump from E34 525tds for the M52 conversion into E30?

I bought two E34 sumps a few years ago, along with what should have been two new sump gaskets to suit.
One of the gaskets turned out to be slightly too long, and had bolt holes in the wrong places.
I'm not 100% sure, but I was told the wrong gasket was for a tds engine.
If this was correct, the tds sump will nearly fit, but not quite.

which of the E38 engines is an option looking at the realoem looking at the 728 (M52) engine this shows the sump facing backwards, all the other are with M60/M62 V-block with the sump facing forwards.

got a m52 b28 engine in my e30 the sump is definitley at the front as most m52,s are at the rear they probably use the same image for all
priced one from a breaker about six months ago it was 75 including pump and pickup and dipstick tube so a lot cheaper than a e34 sump and i think the pump fits better and no windage tray mods to do
e38 exhaust manifolds fitted with minor mods don,t know how e36 ones fit but they seem like the hug the block better standard i,ve got z4 rack and e28 m5 mounts
also used e38 brakes on the front and brake boster so well worth using a e38 728i to start from
engine loom is no good though nor the arms need be e36

Do the brake calipers bolt on straight without any mods? I am looking to use the Clio booster and E32 master cylinder

the calipers are not stright bolt on you need adaptors one set left on ebay for 60 quid
also need audi tt 315x25mm discs
i needed to move the boster over 1 inch but it was slightley eaiser than the stock boster to fit i think its about 5mm smaller but deeper
i,ve got 16" wheels and the calipers just scrap the inside of the wheel think i can thingerise it to work though
