Hi I have a Hornet car alarm on my car but I have lost my temote fob. I have managed to get my car started by disconnecting the fuse disconnecting the 2 fuses for the alarm.

My question is, can I disarm the alarm without a remote and can I reprogram a new fob to work with it. I believe it's a hornet maxx1 alarm.

I would really appreciate if anyone can offer any advice.

Remotes for this are readily available on ebay for around 20GBP, so presumably they are programmable.
Do not rely on this type of alarm to prevent your car being driven away. They are easily silenced in seconds and defeated in a few more seconds by anyone who knows what they're doing.
