Hello people, can any1 get their head around this?
Got my gearbox shaft seal fixed by a mate just down the road from me,
so i think that is engine & gearbox out! Then next time i drove her again
i was sittin in traffic, noticed my temp gauge was creapin up,
So popped bonnet and noticed the fan blade wasn`t spinnin, it was totally stiif!!
So, after some messin about i`ve changed the Viscous coupling, waterpump, oil pump, engine & gearbox mounts!! and still no joy!
It looks like the blades are meltin towards the radiator then wedging themselves in the rads housing>?
Help me please!!!
Any Ideas

thats what i thought, yeah radiator is firmly in!
I was thinkin, isn`t there settings on where the engine sits??
maybe because i had the engine out, it was put back on the wrong setting?

No, the engine should only be fitted in one place.REEDY wrote:thats what i thought, yeah radiator is firmly in!

Hello mate, I hope you are well and not getting stuck in peoples gardens in your works van!
I remember that on the face of the engine mount that sits on the cross member there are rubber locating pins on the mount itself, could it be that the engine mounts have been done up and these haven't been located properly as there are holes in the cross member for them? Just a thought as this would make the engine sit incorrectly. Therefore making the fan rub on something.
If you need any help mate give me a ring, see what we can sort out.

Can you post a pic of how your engine is sitting ?
Thier should be enough space between the rad and face of the fan to just squeeze your hand between them.(M20B25)
