Does anyone have a good contact for a dyno + re-map service, preferably somewhere around London?

Jason at BW Chiptune has a pretty good reputation, although I haven't used him.

I used him for my 330d remap, and while the end product was (seemingly) OK - the service wasn't great. I was sat around waiting for a couple of hours IIRC as he wasn't there, despite being booked in.

A friend had something similar - when he went to pick his car up, it wasn't there. Someone (Jason?) arrived in it and took some other parts out of the boot (that weren't for his car) - I think it he was in for a remap and maybe a bit of repair work. I wouldn't go back, based on my past experiences, personally.

if you need a standard map (m50 manifold) then I can do that for you in hayes

BW is overpriced, and over exaggerated on the dyno (260bhp apparently from just a m50 manifold!!!)

Junglegus just wondering, if your using the 2.8 management what did you do about the throttle body and alpina specific vibration dampner on the front? i have the same engine which i plan on using sometime soon, there is a company on facebook that can make the original wiring/ecu work i got a rough estimate of £1500 if you like i can dig up the info if it helps.

Barry probably your best bet to check with - but I raided everything from the old M52 basically

Possibly just diligently road-testing it, perhaps? Well, maybe combining that with parts collection - it does occasionally happen in the motor trade...
