M40 1.6 Turbo

Hi

I am thinking about turboing my 316 and have some questions...

1. Can you use the turbo and manifold from a 318tds?
2. Do you have too have a aftermarket ECU?
3. Except for injectors, do you hade too upgrade the fulesystem?
4. How strong is the original clutch and flywheel?
5. How much boost can the engine take stock?
6. Any good things too think about otherwise?

Im rooting for around 200hp or under so nothink crazy, and alson on a budget!

6, use megasquirt and non stretch headbolts and go 14 psi

Not specifically, i have 1.6 turbo and without megasquirt i got to 15 psi get a clutch from a 3.0 tip for a fuel system get a gas injection its pretty simple to make but without injectors (English is my second language so i'm not sure if thats the proper name also you can use a manifold from a 1.8 and do the job . I got to about 280bhp but i had to rebuild the engine twice [/img]
