Hi all,

I'm going for a B12 suspension system for my planned conversion - but on there are two drop heights.

Standard B12 is a 25-30mm drop
B12 sport line has a 45-50mm drop.

My car will be a road car - with occasional track day.

Question is how low can you put an M52 conversion and it remains a usable road car.

I cant be bothered with crawling round speed bumps!!

Many thanks

I'd be going for the 25-30mm... in fact, my touring now has that B12 kit fitted :D
It's usually said that a 30mm drop is good, 35mm drop is the max. Any lower and it will start to ruin the ride and handling.

The sump usually sits much lower on the m52 than say an m20 in an e30, so I certainly wouldn't go too low.

25-30mm is enough for a road car in my opinion.
