I am changing the gasket on the sump of my 325 and have undone all the bolts etc to find a cant remove the sump propperly because there are thing in the way. If I undo the bolts(that are rusty) holding the power steering rack and pull it down a little will there be enough space to get the sump out or will i have to take all the belts of the alternator etc and remove the pulleys not sure of there correct names to make space. Hopin its not the belts etc i have just put them all back after being the timing belt and some oil seals :( .

Can anyone tell me what is best?

thanks jonny

The oil pump sits very close to the bottom of the sump at the front, to clear this you'll need to lift the engine slightly to clear the front subframe.
