Guys, why is there a difference in the pins on the back of the demister button on a US spec car? I plugged a euro switch there and it doesn't work. Plugs in, but connectors are in different locations. Are all the switches different, if anyone knows?

Should be the same if from a similar build date. I've taken switches from US cars and no problem to fit to a European/Australian vehicle.
I have seen differences between series 1 and 2 fog light switches.

ETK does show different part numbers for US and European models of the same age, so there is a difference, but I don't know what it is.
Possibly function written on the US version, and a universal symbol on the European?

Hmm, wish I was that lucky. The US demister did have the same symbol on as the UK switch. I tried to take the UK one apart to fit the symbol with the good print on, but they have a slightly different shape. I'll have to try n find another one
