what do i need to do with the wires ? I've got reverse lights but it wont crank . i was told that there is something to do behind the glove box but can't remember

Black/yellow wires, one with a single pin plug on it, and the other with a single pin socket, behind the glovebox, near the top.
They are currently connected to two wires that go to the starter inhibitor relay.
Just disconnect and scrap those wires, the relay, and the other wires that go from it to the gear selector, and push the plug and socket on the black/yellows together.

found one black and yellow straight away , the 2nd one was a bit more fun though then found it just inside the inner glove box plastic on the right hand side , such a help this thread has been so far thanks
