As above, anyone running these size wheels (9x16) can you please do me a big favour? winkeye
Can you please measure the distance between your wheel mounting face (the flat point where it touches the cars hub), and the edge of the rim closest to the inner arch. Easiest way to do this would be to get a straight edge, run it across the inner edges of the rim across the diameter (making sure it is just touching the rim not the tyre), then measure from this to the wheel mounting face.
Thanks in advance

Or they could tell you what offset they are & you could work it out yourself; 4.5" + the offset (which will be in mm) :thumb:

Ah, but a 9" rim will not actually be 9" across edge to edge, so 1/2 will not be 4.5"

Good point!

Usually about an extra 1/2" either side... I wonder if there's an official amount or if it vairies depending on the wheel / manufacturer :?

i'll do this later m8, as my brother has taken my car. but i can tell you that with a 9"x16 rim and et 15, there is about 3/4 of an inch space from the rim edge to the chassis thing. dont knoe what you call it  . you know the axle thingy. and there is about 3/4 of an inch from the strut.

Youre right it is usually 1/2" either side, but i dont want to rely on this!
By my measurements, image wheels reckoned a 9" rear wouldnt fit, but i know they do!

Cheers nav, i think you mean the trailing arm? and how close is it to the top of the coil spring (and its mount). Do mean the edge of the rim is this close, or the edge of the tyre?

its the edge of the rim, as the tyre is stretched on.

Hmmmmmm, i wanna use around 235 rubber so maybe i'd be better of with 8.5" rears, can you do that measurement anyway please.

just had a look now, there is about 3/4 of an inch gap with trailing arm. about an inch gap with the strut. i measured the hubface to edge of rim and that was 14cm. this may not be exact spot on as i didnt take the wheel off and measure, so it was quite hard to line it all up.
