Hi Guys
My hooter is dead, dead ,dead. Bloody thing gives off a sad little squeek or nothing at all. Before i go and replace it:
1) is there anything i need to check first?
2) where are the horns located?
3) is hard to change or should i take her to the dealers?
thanks
saw these for sale will they fit?

Mine was right behind the kidney grille. Just remove that (2 clips at the top of the grille in the engine bay) and you're there.
Check the wire is getting 12v when you press the horn button and that the earth is ok, sounds like its just your horn that is knackered though.
Those kits have two horns, but mine only had one unit, so probably better to find a kit with one as it'll be easier to fit. (or fit twin air horns like me winkeye )
No need to take to the dealers- an easy fix!

E30s either have a single horn hanging from the slam panel behind the centre grill, or two horns, one behind each foglight.
Problem with the aftermarket horns is that they won't fit the E30s waterproof connectors.
They're not expensive from BMW.
