Stomp test

Hi everyone,

My name is Terence from Holland and i drive an e30 m3 from 1-1989. ITS an european car so, without a check engine light. I really want to do the stomp test to see the fault codes from my dme. The dme is motronic M1.0 (0261200071)
Does anyone know if i can do the stomp test with a test light in the round socket or if i can make my owne check engine light?

There's only one way to find out for sure, and that's to try it. Look for a plain grey wire in the loom to the engine plug, and connect a small 12V bulb between that and ignition switched live (green).
