Ive finally got the damned gearbox off the bottom end and the clutch and flywheel off. Its taken months to get this done because:

when I first tried I smacked myself in the eye with the spanner undoing the prop nuts as some of you may remember. By the time I could see properly again it was december and as we all know theres too much drinking etc then to do anything.

For the last couple of weeks Ive been trying to get the top two bolts off the bell housing and couldnt as they were so damned tight. I broke a socket and an flexible extension in the process.

After a week of soaking them in WD40 I bought a 1/2" flexible extension and some adapters today in the hope they would be strong enough.
After lots of wrestling around Ive finally got the bastards out!

Needless to say Im in a very happy mood now as it means I can start putting the new engine together with lots of nice new shiny parts and bolts etc. :D

They were a complete ****er to get out. I thought even my breaker bar was going to snap at one stage. I was putting so much force on it my whole body was almost off the ground!

Now that Ive got this crappy stuff done I can start enjoying it. Putting nice new parts in the car is alot more fun and there should be no problems seeing I'll be using new nut and bolts. :)
