Number plate delete

As mentioned above, has anyone removed the number plate from the front of their E30? If so is there like a strip you can buy to replace the number plate plinth?

I believe, but not too sure, there is trim for American front bumpers where they didn't require front plate?

I have just cut the plastic that sticks down, so it is flush with the rest of the trim, looks fine on chrome number, don't know about painted.

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by you've cut the plastic that stocks down? Do you have a picture by any chance?
