Recently had one cut for myself so just wondering if anybody else would be interested in getting anymore cut.

If so they would be continuly available

Cut on a precision plasma cutting machine from 10 mm mild steel. Ideal if your looking to make your own 6 branch or turbo manifold.
Granted it's not stainless but a good alternative

Just let us know on here or pm me

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place too

Cheers

I'd say £30 free postage depending on how much they cost to post

End of the day, for a manifold, stainless only adds bling. Manifolds get hot enough to burn off any moisture pretty quickly so rust is not really an issue and there's no difference in performance.

There's plenty of differences between the two materials. But they're both doing the same job and the bling only last so long anyways.
A big plus side of mild is the cost factor and you don't have to worry about back purging either.
I personally if I had the spends would go stainless all day as I love welding stainless. But I'm a peasant.
Plus you could always have stainless pipe work and mild flange.

What is back purging and how does the material make a difference?

Mart.

Basically it is filling the tube you are about to weld with an inert gas like argon. Stainless oxidises at welding temps causing a bad weld

Mild steel is much more suitable for the flange of a manifold, be the rest of it made in mild or stainless.

Hence BMW using mild steel flanges and stainless tube on their M52 exhaust manifolds

Yeah mild is a lot more forgiving than stainless when it comes to temperature and expansion and such. Also much easier to work with. I never knew bmw used a mild flange on the m52. Interesting to know. Learn something new everyday a‘a
