Hi, I was wondering if anybody on here could help me out with what engine to choose to build for my e30 sprint car.
currently it is running a mostly standard m10b18 and I would like to stay within the under 2 litre class. So what I want to ask you guys and girls is what is my best option for bang for buck? I've thought about building a m10 up to 2 litres itbs etc but that will get very expensive and not necessarily yeald me much power. Is a m50b20 a worth while swap? 150hp but can I get anymore out of it? or of course an m42 is an option.
suggestions and help appreciated,
Thanks

What's the rules on engine swaps and the class you will be able to run in with a converted car?
What about turbocharging the M10?

Engine swaps are allowed so long as they are from the same manufacturer otherwise I'll be placed in some made prototype class with specially built race cars. So although it would be cool an s2000 engine is out.
As for turbo charging the m10 (which I would love to do) there is an equivalencey rule which for forced inducted cars is 1.5x the engine displacement which will place me in the under 3 litre class
