Hello,

I want to swap my drum brake with disc brake type rear axles.

Does the rear bearing is same or different? Or does allbdisc brake is abs?

I found 2 different bearing size at etk/realoem which should I use?

Thank you
Markus

ABS rear discs have bigger bearings than non abs disc arms

I thought the drum brake trailing arms where not compatable with just bolting on disc brake type parts?

As in you need the whole trailing arm from a disc brake rear axle and work from that?

Rubbish.

The only difference between ABS and non ABS is the toothed ring.

Wha? There are two different sizes listed when i checked!

Non abs seems to be smaller than the abs type for disc brakes trailing arms

That's disc and drum.

It's a common misapprehension that non ABS=drum but that's not the case.

Same misconception applies when buying braided brake hoses as well. They are usually listed ABS/non ABS, when it should say disc/drum. Many have ended up two hoses short because of this.

I think you do need whole trailing arms as the drum ones don't have mounting points for calipers

A disc brake set up cannot be bolted on to drum rear trailing arms.
