Hello all another day another problem,my wipers work absolutely fine on normal speed/fast speed but when I select intermittent wipe they run at normal speed?obviously this is wrong does anybody have any ideas why? I have had the motor out and cleaned up the contacts and regreased everything which has cured the stuttering issue....I.m thinking this could be an issue with the stalk?
Any help as ever would be great...

Stalk is 3 position, if it's not working on intermittent due to open circuit it would most likely do nothing. There is a relay that times the intermittent on your wipers, it is possible that that is the issue. 1989 325i electrical trouble shooting manual link below may be of use to you.
