Hey Every1 :) New to the zone :D Can any1 help me? Im wanting to remove a m40 engine and 5 speed manual gearbox from my 316i. Have just noticed that the gearbox is attached to the engine using torx bolts. what way do these bolts come off? Is it clockwise or anti clockwise?
Many Thanks

Same way as any other bolt :?

If your looking on the head end of the bolt, twist it anti-clockwise to remove.

Good luck !

Welcome to the zone!

You should be able to remove the engine and gearbox out as one piece, far easier than seperating them in car.

To undo the torx bolts you need a torx socket!
