For the price of this you could buy:
a) a very, very nice E46 M3 Coupe
b) a very tidy E36 M3.
Sorry but these things are not worth 17 grand yet*. That's a 10 grand car at most and I doubt they will go much over 10k. They just aren't really that desirable.
