Hi all,
I've just finished fitting cruise control to my E30. It was from a USA car, but I've got a new RHD loom in use. All wired up correctly, except I've got a clutch bypass loom instead of the clutch switch. The actuator has a brand new cable, although I'm not 100% that, when I installed it, it's gone back together exactly right (there was a tiny spring that sprang out, and I don't think it's back where it came from).
The plug into the green block on the dash cluster is installed.
I've done the three tests in the Wiki: there appears to be a little resistance between the red/green wire and earth (hard to be precise with our multimeter). The same connection goes to 12v with brake switch input (and brake lights work). Our test bulb had failed, but a multimeter over pins 1 & 23 showed 12v.
Despite this, nothing works. Is there anything else that I can test? Is there a way to manually invoke the actuator, so I can see if it's assembled correctly?
Thanks,
Joe
