Hello. I have got a replacement horse shoe seal from Cotswold BMW as my old one was split in a few places.

When removing the old one I found that it appeared to have been stuck in place with a glue. Im not sure if this was done in the factory as the glue appears to have been applied quite messy which you wouldn't expect.

Anyway my question is should I glue the new one or just press it into place?
