Finally got round to looking at my spot lights today(don't work) and found some dodgy non BMW wiring coming from the spots and going straight off somewhere. I have found 2(1 each wing) 2 way bullet type connectors lying unloved and wondered if the spots should be wired to them. I can't remember what colour now, sorry, but I think they may have been brown/yellow and brown/violet. Can anyone confirm this.

These sound about right for the fog lights - they are usually tied up and stored behind the plastic headlamp covers in the engine bay when the car has not previously had them fitted.
I have fitted fog lights to four different cars and found that some have had these two wires going to a plastic connector and others have had the bullet type connectors you mentioned (possibly when the car has had them from new?).
Hope this helps.

Hi cava, cheers mate, I couldn't think what else they would be for, but then again couldn't think why someone would wire the lights to somewhere else. I'll get some connectors from BM and give them a try.
Thanks again mate.

You're right about the extra wires - not sure why anyone would do this when the car has them fitted as standard?
Just checked on the car that has the bullet type connectors and it looks like there is one brown (ish) wire and one yellow/black. Let me know if you need any details when sorting yours out (I also have a car with the plastic connectors).
