M20B25 Hesitation/Stutter when revving from idle

Hi, I have an 1992 325i convertible Auto. The car's almost dying when pulling away from a stand still before picking itself up and shooting off. I've taken out the TPS, which happens to be a 6 pin instead of the more readily available 3 pin and gave it a good clean as it was caked in oil. I was sure I had solved the problem when I saw the state of it. But no, problem not solved. If I Rev the car slowly from idle is revs up fine, but if I go straight to 1/4 throttle that's when it plays up. Any help/advice would be much appreciated guys, thanks in advance.
