Hello. Since I bought my e30 the drivers seat back rest has always been a bit wobbly on one side. I finally got round to taking it apart in the hope that the 2 screws at the bottom simply needed tightening. I'm afraid that the L shaped bracket on one side is broken and a previous owner has obviously taken a look as the bolt and broken part of the bracket are missing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do now? Thanks

Thanks. I have read about welding this piece back on. However the issue I have is the broken part is missing!

As part of the bracket is missing, you will need to replace the complete mechanism on the side that has the broken bracket. It is not completely tragic and IIRC , well documented in the wiki. All four mechanisms are seat and position specific and also convertible and saloon ones differ. I have all types in stock

So I have managed to get hold of a replacement recline mechanism and install it however the last bit I need is the screw which secures the bracket to the seat back. Does anyone know of where I can get hold of one or have any alternative ideas if I cant. Thanks

They are Pan head M6 x 12 screws, although any type of head, such as the more common hex. headed type will do. I can't see that a little excess length would hurt either.
