m52 to m42 gearbox gear linkage?

Hi,

I have a m10 gear linkage spare and was wondering If this will work with a m42 gearbox, or do I need a m20/m42 gear linkage?

Cheers guys, that's what I thought but was just wondering if a m10 could be used. I don't know how the differ to be honest.
