Im hoping to get some advice on seats,

My drivers seat isn't in a great state, and I want to change both the front seats.

Looking at leather seats from the other e30s seems great, but they are as expensive as buying new seats.

I was wondering what everyone else uses as front seats?
I don't want to put fixed bucket seats in, not because I dont like them, but because it's my daily and feel like that might be annoying.

I'd be happy with some new sport recliners, but I can't find any which I think will suit the car...

Also it's only a 1.8, so it's not trying to be a race car haha

Any help would be great

Cheers

You can fit a passenger seat where the front seat goes, more of them available.
:)
Moredoor autos with small engines are cool - but my new m20b25 is awesome!

milk crates, don't knock them until you have tried them, but make sure they are fitted upside down, otherwise you sit to low....

One of the funniest things I have ever seen was a friend of mine driving a fully restored E24 Alpina B10 sat on a milk crate because the seats were at the trimmers having the leather restored.

Probably a 20k car with a milk crate as a seat.

Yes but they always look too big in the E30.

Like they are crammed from tunnel to door.

I got a set of leather seats from a 2007 3 series. These are narrow enough to fit the E30. I made up steel mounting brackets. These were not too hard to make. You need a decent power drill and some good metal drill bits. I think I paid about $500.00 Australian for the seats which was a bit expensive for second hand seats, but they were in perfect knick. You can use these with the original E30 seat belts.

Mine are old aftermarket recaro's that have been mounted onto e30 runners!!!

I also have a spanking & super tasty pair of recaro's in waiting and bought some mounts from Ergen m'sport (i think), on here, that allow almost any recaros to bolt straight into an e30!!!

Not the cheapest route by any means, but worth keeping your eye on eBay for cheap recaros!!!
