not so much looking for the upgrade side though to be honest, im just thinking that a 10 year old rack might be better choice over a 25 year old rack

hi all, looking to replace my steering rack on my 1991 325 and was just wondering what the deal is with the so called E46 rack upgrade, i.e what sort of benefits are to be had? is it a simple case of bolting the 46 rack to my existing e30 pipes, column etc. do all 46 racks fit?

Hello mrb27
e30 wiki link here is a good place to start
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... onversions
there is a fair bit of work and $ involved, if you are not concerned about having sharper responding steering it may be wise to get your old rack reconditioned, cheers.
