Hi everyone.
During my attempts to re trim my headlining I've managed to break my sunroof. Just can't get it to work properly. I think I've got to replace the whole thing and start again. Can anyone send me a guide or advice on how to complete this. Or if there are any specialsts out there that fancy earning a few quid want to take on the job
Thanks in advance

What's broken and what does/ doesn't work?
Manual or electric?

It's an electric one. Basically the whole thing doesn't function properly now. The rails were off set for some reason and in my attempts to put them level I think I've damaged the mechanism

Electric sunroof is operated by a motor winding a revolving cable,as the cable turns,it pulls the lid.
The motor is fitted with a set of stops so that the lid goes where it should go;
tilt up
tilt down
open
close
Now the first two movements are short,last two are longer.
I guess that in fiddling with the mech,you have dis-connected the motor from the cable,moved the cable and failed to syncronize
the two together properly.
It's been a while since I had one of these to bits,but working with the lid off,you need to get the sliding gear to the closed position.Then with the motor powered up but not connected(important!)run the motor so that you can discover the above four movements.Pop the motor back in it's mount and test for all movements,repeat as needed to get the thing right.
Seem to remember that it took me two afternoon's of teaching next door's kids new words to sort mine!
