Trying to help a friend with a wiring problem, The car had a short circuit under the dash for about 2 mins before the battery was disconnect, on investigation i found the earth wire at the indicator flasher unit burnt out taking another earth wire with it
After repairs to the loom i now have problems with the instrument cluster
On carrying out a pin out on the blue and white cluster plugs i cannot find the grounds at the pins as per the Bentley Manual
(16 and 20) . Has any one done this or can confirm if 16 and 20 pins are earth pins and are correct. Any help on this would be appreciated i have other issues but will try and sort this first.
Thanks

Thanks for the diagram, and confirmation on the pin numbers. I will have to check for further damage to the ground wiring im getting no continuity on either pins, Just found im not not getting 12 volts to the other pins either 23,. 6,2.13.and 14, fuses are ok
As far as i can see the burnout was only on the ground wires saying that they must have been touching a live wire to short out.

Chop the fig.08.pdf off of the end of the link, and you'll get the wiring for the rest of the car.

At long last solved the electrical problem, It was a dry joint on the earth wire from the indicator stalk to steering column, Thanks to everyone for there input.
