Hi Guys,

Recently bought a 325i Cabby, one of the things that is not working is the magnetic key immobiliser thing in the drivers door. I assume this is a factory fit item that is only on the cabriolets?

Has anyone got any experience with this? I tried the re-coding etc as described in the owners manual but to no avail. no little red light or anything.

Have tried doing a search on wiki but cant find anything about it.
would like to get it working if possible.

It's not worth fixing. By-passed/disarmed in 10 seconds.

Yeah I'll probably put an aftermarket alarm system on anyways, but would like to get it working anyways- if it's a fairly easy fix, bit of an OEM freak like that!! Ha ha!
