Can anyone let us know how easy or difficult it is to get my speedometer and and fuel gage back in working order? I own a H plate 318i

I am looking to sell it and would be interested to know what I can get for it?!

It's a alpine white tourer! and in fairly decent order for age I guess.

Try looking round this forum and the wiki for some clues.

You can check the speedometer connection on the rear diff, they often get corruded and just require a quick 5 minute clean.

As for fuel gauge, could be one of many things, check fuse, check float is working on the fuel pump (under the rear seat is the access hatch for the pump) and lastly if it's none of the above I guess your left with removing the instrument cluster to check the connections on the needle itself.

Speedo will more than likely be a broken wire at the diff plug.
