when you're on board computer (OBC) "Gongs" this is the speaker which makes the noise.

it should gong when it is below 3*C or when you break the predtermined speed limiter.

Yeah it sits in a holder on the pannel under the steering colum....

Its a check control gong, silly !!!

The first time it went off in my car i nearly crashed, and you do think WTF...

If the outside temp drops below 3c it goes " BONG ", and again when it goes over 3c, thats the only time i ever hear mine.

You M3 guys got the 6 buttons or the 13 buttons??

It shouldn't bong when it goes over 3 degrees, but it should if it goes above 6 then drops back down to 3 again.

If you guys have the 6 button OBC's then set the memo function on and it should beep 15 secs before every hour to remind you about the news!!

Ive got the 6 button jobbie......wanna upgrade to the 13 but want a german unit....

Also I know Ian Godney has an E30 M3 sat in his yard awaiting fate with a full OBC sat in it. It's not in the german language though.

You can fit an OBC into your car, this is what I did on mine.

Need to get hold of a full kit, and you can do it yourself, if you want one.

how do you stop the headlamp washers kicking in at every spray of the windscreen?

BTW-jist stripped the entire boot interior down to metal-no holes and nice shiny white paint everywhere

however, boot is wet on right hand side-possibly coming in from a vent in the RH wing (black plastic about 7 inches long-what is it?)

how difficult is it to strip and clean the rear wash wipe?
