E30 msd help

Ok so this might be stupid but have to ask! So I am running miller war software on my 87 e30 m20 with a 60 trim. I am wanting to do some ignition upgrades. Will I be able to go a mad ignition and cancel out the cap a rotor with the miller war software or am I needing to get a mega squirt first! I have a been reading some and it seems like all I be able to do is just a coil? Any links or info will help thanks for your time
