Not sure the size but it will be listed on the realoem website
I'm guessing you don't have the old one to measure? , but if you do most can be carefully sanded flat with fine 1500 grit wet and dry on a flat glass or machined surface

According to RealOEM > A12X17-CU
And it seems to be copper looking at this > http://www.realoem.com/bmw/photos/07119963151.jpg

Thanks bpth.,
I see what that part spec means now, its 12 mm inner diameter and 17 mm outer, the cu must be for copper
I do have one but it's still holding the oil in my engine! Just wanted to get everything ready before my super-service
Thanks again

I just bought one from BMW and its aluminium colour not copper.

Moredoor autos with small engines are cool - but my new m20b25 is awesome!
