So I parked the car, changed the headlight bulbs and the next day it wouldn't start.

It a 1991 318is with 160000 on it. Uses a wee bit of oil , 1/2 litre every 500 miles or so and doesn't smoke. It is your typically fast IS and gave no indication anything was amiss.

Towed it to Winston who is a quality mechanic , he checked it over and then did a compression test. With oil in the bores he was just about reaching 90psi !!
So what has happened overnight???

Cheers

Took it up to Pat at Cook's Ferry and he went through it. Decided that there was no reason that it wouldn't start. So he started it. Compression back up to 175psi on all four. Weird or what ????
